Children's Musicland

Story and Songs

by Auriel Wyndham Livezey

Children's Musicland is the children's version of the family musical, Musicland. It's the story of a very busy CEO, Bill Buskirk, who is totally immersed in "big busyness." Having banned all forms of music at the office, he thinks his life is completely on track until a children's chorus visits his office.

Below are samplings from the CD:

Children's Musicland contains the five songs, in their entirety, that are sung by children in the musical.

bulletMusicland
bulletI Met a Note
bulletDear B, Dear C
bulletLife's Melody
bulletGently Flows Our Love

It contains two other complete songs:

bulletWilly's Song
bulletSomething Bright and Beautiful

Selections from the other eleven tracks are woven through the story line, which is narrated by Bob Lauder, Jr. The only song and story omitted is the out-of-body scene. This is quite suitable for children seeing it acted on stage but is more difficult to explain on a recording.

Sung by The Company Kids of Orange County Song and Dance Company.

CD $15.00

Appropriate for children 6 through 12, it is likely that adults might want to listen in too.
